DKH Academy is proud to expand our offerings into early elementary education with the launch of First Grade in Fall 2025, followed by Second Grade in Fall 2026.
We are growing in a way that stays true to who we are. Since 1979, families have trusted DKH for a warm, play-based start and strong academics. Local school choices are shifting, and more parents are looking for small, high-quality elementary programs. We are ready to meet that need with care, purpose, and a strong learning foundation.
Our Elementary program will:

Maintain small class sizes

Use guided reading groups and strong phonics instruction

Build early math skills through hands-on lessons and problem solving

Grow confidence through daily movement, collaboration, and practice

Include Spanish, Art, Music, and KidFit each week

Offer AgriSTEAM lessons that connect science, gardening, and nature

Learn and play in our certified Nature Explore Classroom

Give students time to move, explore, and build independence

Support curiosity, connection, and a love of learning
Expanding What Makes DKH Special
Students will learn in refreshed spaces with access to our STEM Lab, a dedicated movement room, and outdoor learning areas. The day balances focused academic time with hands-on exploration and active play.
We remain committed to high standards through NAEYC and Cognia accreditation.
This is not only a new grade. It is a thoughtful expansion of a school that families already trust and love.

Decisions will be shared by email, followed by a personal phone call.

Submit enrollment paperwork and choose payment option to secure your child’s seat for the 2026-2027 school year.
